Ex: Dora the Explorer with paranoid schizophrenia. She has hallucinations that her map and book bag can speak to her. She is paranoid that a fox is constantly trying to steal her possessions, etc.

Super Fun Task Description
In groups of 2-3
- You will take on the role of psychologists bringing a case study to your fellow psychologists (class members).
- Each group picks a character from TV, movies, books, etc. to diagnose with a psychological disorder.
- Use your character as a base, use resources to describe behavior..
- Use the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria, text, here, and internet to explain your characters behavior.
- You will make a PowerPoint, Slides. Prezi, (or other) showing examples of this character’s behavior, etc.
- Then, the class diagnoses the character and we will see if the class came to the same conclusion as the presenters.
- You will then continue the slides and present the diagnosis and prognosis.
- Prognosis will include what therapy you would recommend and why.
- Discuss your clients chance for, and road to recovery.
- Email your presentation to me here BEFORE Wednesday's(2,4,6) or Thursday's (5,7) class starts. Title your email with your period and character's name.
- 35 pts for a successful and appropriate presentation!
